- Be responsive: Reply to all correspondence within 24 hours. The more attentive you are (even if the traveler is not) the more trust and confidence they will feel. This is where you will build trust. Messages that go unanswered after 72 hours will terminate the thread. If your account has three terminated threads, you will be removed from the program.
- Read between the lines: Get a good read on your customer. Often the heart of what people want is what’s between the lines, so do your best to extract that from what they say. Sometimes people will identify themselves as one type of traveler, when really they are in fact another. Your were selected as a Vayable Expert because you understand this and possess the talent to know people better than they know themselves.
- Be empathetic: Understand the travelers from the inside: their tastes, fears, preferences, travel experience and expectations. This will be your guiding light as you craft their perfect vacation.
- Be organized: Make sure your i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed: triple check that the restaurant you’re sending a traveler too is open and available, that your recommendations and contacts are up-to-date and that you communicate details like driving distance and pricing is accurately.
- Be brief: In general, try not to be long-winded. These customers came to our platform to save time.
- Be community-oriented: Aim to speak and write in the collective: “we,” “our” “us.” The goal is for customers to get a sense of inclusion—that we are planning their adventure as a team.
