Some people’s idea of the perfect vacation includes dust, rocks, scorpions, and spiky shrubs. In Southern California, that means desert. March is usually the best time to catch the wildflowers blooming but the desert is alive with uniquely adapted plants and animals year-round.

Fall and Spring offer the ideal weather for exploring the caves, canyons and crags of Joshua Tree.

Itinerary and Inclusions:

Meeting at the entrance to the park we will chose our hike based on your interests and current conditions. Anything from short hikes to native palm oases to more challenging rock scrambling or a combination of the two is possible. Encompassing the Mojave and Sonoran deserts, the terrain and flora are as varied as they are awe-inspiring. We will hike and explore in the morning, take a break for lunch and then resume hiking in the afternoon. Or choose a sunset hike or sunrise hike.

Availability:

Early February to mid-May. Early October to mid-December.
