Suffolk is a county that unless you travel slowly through it, you may miss many of its charming and redeeming features.
Suffolk has many green lanes and forrest tracks that are just begging to be explored by bicycle. The terrain is reasonably flat so no need to be an Olympic athlete to enjoy the beautiful countryside.
When you finally arrive at your destination what better way to relax than with a pint of beers and some good local food in one of the picture perfect Suffolk pubs.
Start 10:45 at Wickham Market Railway Station. Free parking and regular connections to Ipswich.
Our goal is the coastal town of Orford stopping off midway for a pub lunch either in Butley or Chillesford.
On route we will pass through the picturesque villages of Blaxhall, Iken and Sudbourne, as well as Tunstall and Rendlesham forests.
Returning to the station for 16:50 to meet the train. Distance 24 miles.
Originally from Edinburgh in Scotland. I have lived in Suffolk for over 20 years. I went to college in London. I have an MSc and MBA. I enjoy cycling and horse riding. I work in IT and ran my own company for 12 years. At weekends I teach kids with disabilities to horse ride. I was a Games Maker volunteer at the London 2012 Olympics. I like trying new things - hence being here on Vayable. Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
