Experience the Tango OFF Circuit

with Lucia R.

Do you think tango is only Piazzolla, a sexy pose and a very old orquestra ?

Discover how young people meet at a 'milonga' just as they would do at a pub or a disco but with tango music and dance in the background!
Get in touch with the most underground sites where locals dancers and tango lovers just gather and enjoy the live music played by young incredible orquestras.

This is not the classic tango tour, dinner+show.
This is just going out for having fun and exploring creative and original places, runned by young people that are really fond of their tradicional music and organize events and festivals with their own modest resources.

Whether you're a dancer or not, you will enjoy feeling the tango atmosphere in a modern and young context.
There is space for taking a first class, meet local friendly people and listen to great orquestras.

Depending on the day, we can start by having dinner in Sanata Bar, a small bar with tango live music or watching people dancing in La Glorieta, an open air milonga inside a park, or having a great asado at Los Laureles, an old 'bodegon' with authentic tango singers.
Then we can go to the milonga or the tango event of the day and spend the night there and then, if we are still in the mood, we can finish at La Viruta, the temple of the night tango dancers, that is free from 3 am ! Or we can end at Bar de Roberto, where the best tango musicians gather and jam for a never ending night !

Starts in the evening !

I'm Italian. I'm 39 years old. I've been living in wonderful cities (Florence, Rome), and now I'm here, in Buenos Aires, for 4 years. I came for holidays and I never went back !! I'm in love with this city, with the culture, with the people, with the relaxed atmosphere that you can feel walking through the 'not perfect' street of this metropolis. Everybody who visits Buenos Aires, always leaves with a little tear in his eyes. I discover something new every day. I study and dance tango. Most of my friends are dancers, musicians, singers, DJs and organizers of 'milongas'. I know all the sites of the tango underground circuit, where very free-minded people join every night celebrating their passion for the 2x4 rythm. I love open-air activities and events. And Buenos Aires has a lot to offer in this sense. I'm a curious person. I like to know and share time with people from all around the world. Full profile Leave a Review
