Outstanding experience - Alexander was very knowledgable, took me to great locations quickly and provided excellent guidance and teaching to help me get the shots I wanted in a very efficient manner. Highly recommended!!!
I took a seven day vacation to Paris with my girlfriend, and the night photography tour we took with Alexander was the highlight of our trip. We both do photography professionally, and yet still learned several awesome new techniques. Alexander takes a personalized approach so that you really get what you want out of the session instead of some cookie cutter experience. He showed us multiple breathtaking locations where we captured amazing photos, and cool techniques we've utilized several times since. Don't hesitate, do it. It was a fantastic experience.

This was my first photo tour. Alexander was prompt and friendly. We discussed my photographic interest before starting out. I learned how to photograph in Alexander's preferred Program mode and had my first experience in night photography. I was able to use some of the new learnings later in my trip. Overall I was satisfied with the tour.
The Paris photography walking tour with Alexander was great! The weather was horrible, but Alexander muddled through with me and helped me get some great shots of my favorite city! Alexander helped me to learn a lot about my camera and how to use it to improve my photography skills. I highly recommend it!
I scheduled a night photography tour with only 5 days notice. They didn't initially have the people to do it and asked if I was flexible with the date - unfortunately I wasn't as I was there for work and couldn't rearrange my schedule. They were able to rearrange their schedules to fit me in. Caspar was my tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be around. He was early to our meeting spot and brought a very heavy duty tripod for me to use. We first had coffee and he asked me what I wanted to learn that night. He went through some great material to figure out where I was with my photography knowledge and then he totally customized the experience to fit my needs. I have been doing photography for over 15 years and I am very knowledgable with how to use my equipment. He quickly adapted the experience to fit my needs and teach me new things. What Caspar showed me was how to apply some additional artistic details to improve my photography. The results were amazing. Don't worry if you just bought your first camera - they have the materials, knowledge and patience to help you get some great pictures and teach you a lot. No matter what your skill set is, you will definitely learn something, have fun and come home with great pictures. My entire experience was nothing but positive and I highly recommend this tour!
Alexander was an excellent instructor/guide for this tour. He met with me first to discover what background my photography experience stemmed from, and what I hoped to accomplish with the tour and customized it from there. When I discovered I'd left my tripod plate in my hotel he had one to loan me, and saved the night, literally!! He was professional, entirely knowledgable, and it was well worth the money and time. I think if you are looking to clinch "that one shot" while you're visiting Paris, booking this tour with this group is the way to ensure that happens. I will, without hesitation, refer any of my other friends travelling to Paris to this tour and Alexander and his colleagues. Thanks again Alex for a great photography experience- I came away from this feeling not only had I learned something, but also to be coming home with images I am proud of. *****HIGHLY RECOMMEND**
It was delightful to meet William Lounsbury and indeed an enjoyable night taking exquisite photographs with William's guidance. I am not much in technical, yet the basics that William has explained are helpful. And we dare to be different, to take different pictures with a new perspective of theme. The photo tour session went very fast, and a big thank you to Alex and William putting this together for all our lovers of photography. Best regards, Lanny
What a wonderful experience! Alexander customized his advice to my level of experience, and he was a very helpful and patient teacher--I learned how to use some previously un-utilized features of my camera, and Paris at night is a photographer's fantasy! The three hours passed in a flash, and I'm looking forward to applying what I learned by venturing out with my camera and tripod during my remaining evenings in Paris.
I will be the envy of my friends now I have the photos Alexander helped me take. They are amazing and I hope I can put all I learnt into practice.....no more automatic settings ;-) Alexander is very knowledgeable, knows all the best locations and aspects and was very patient with me....teaching the girl from Dubbo a few tricks. I would recommend this tour, not only to learn the skills to take beautiful photos but to experience Paris at night with a local
On 9/1/14 my wife and I went on Alexander B's wonderful photography night tour. Our guide that night was the personable and knowledgeable Caspar. Caspar started the tour in a small cafe near the Louvre and as we sipped coffee and chocolate Caspar went through a short photo power point presentation. The presentation explained what we would be doing that night and showed us some of Alexanders work. Caspar looked at both our cameras and settings then off we went to the Louvre to photograph the pyramid from different angles. Since my wife and I were beginners in photo jargon he helped us set up the cameras and explained the settings and capabilities of our cameras. Before we took any photos Alexander set up his tripod for my SLR camera and explained to get truly great night photos you need a tripod. From the first photo to the last 3 hours later our photos turned out beautifully. My wife uses a little canon and Alexander worked with her to use the AV functions. He had her place her camera on a stable area to get beautiful photos. We began at Louvre and we worked our way to Place De Concorde, Champs and then the blinking Eiffel Tower. We were able to take photos of lights that became stars and learned to take photos of passing cars to produce streaking cars and later by the Eiffel Tower streaking boats. Caspar encouraged us to move around and be creative with our photography. Caspar was there every moment to guide us and our photos turned out so well we walked the Paris streets today to find a camera store to buy a good tripod. This was an amazing, fun and educational evening and a highlight to our Paris adventure! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in night photography and they cater your tour to your ability level. I must also add from before we booked the trip Alexander explained everything and once booked he gave us fantastic directions on where the tour would begin. He also provided us both his and Casper's email and phone if we needed to reach them. Thanks again Steve

Hi, I had a photo tour with Alexander in early June 2014. It was a very rewarding night out. After having a discussion on my photography and what I was trying to achieve we set out walking the streets of Paris. A very enjoyable experience, learning about Paris and photography, experimenting with different photographic techniques and discussing the art. Definitely repeating this night with Alexander when I come back. Mark.K
I booked the Paris Night Photography Tour with Alexander but he was unable to make it due to unexpected delay. He however made arrangements for another photographer to take over the tour. William was a fantastic last minute substitute, without the Dali moustache (oh well we can't have everything). It was an enjoyable evening with some great shots. William had me take all my pictures in full manual mode which I did for most of my trip unless circumstances dictated that partial manual was more convenient. The best part of the tour was William encouraging me to try different angles and framing which held me in good stead on the rest of the trip.
We had a great tour and a great time with Alexander. We were looking for a way to see Paris at night without being herded around by one of those awful bus tours - and this was it. We had a great time, learned about Paris and our camera, and came back with amazing photos. Definitely sign up for this tour!
I took a night photography tour with Caspar on 5/19 while we were in Paris. I am a long-time photographer but have never done any night shooting and had a new camera as well. I don't shoot in auto mode so I was a little skeptical about how much I would get out of the tour. I specifically wanted to learn how to take those eye-popping night time photos you see in magazines. Caspar was fun, knowledgable about his craft and the city and a fantastic instructor. He spent time with me to learn my level of technical knowledge and understanding of basic photography. On the first shot he took me out of my comfort zone and had me shooting in manual mode. I came away with some really great pictures from that night. More importantly, I came away with an understanding of how to use my camera's capabilities to do some very creative work. Caspar taught me how to think differently about what I wanted to get from a shot and how to set up the camera to achieve what I wanted. I highly recommend this tour no matter what your level of expertise. Not only will you have fun and learn more about Paris, you will definitely have an excellent learning experience.
An unbeatable experience. We spent an incredible 4 hours with Caspar Miskin in Paris on May 18. We began at a sidewalk café, with a cup of coffee, by reviewing camera functions, which allowed us to ask questions and have the aspects shown on our cameras. The pace was also ours and did not go beyond what we felt we could handle. Caspar was patient and clear with his instruction. He used a wonderful PowerPoint slide show on his laptop which graphically described what he was explaining. We then walked, and as we did, the aspects of good photography with the proper use of our cameras became clearer. We took photos and we were able to get a critique of them as we did. We felt that we not only learned a great deal, but we had a very pleasant experience doing it.
Thanks to Alexander for organising my tour at short notice. My guide Caspar was full of positive reinforcement and ideas for taking better photos. A great night out in Paris, I enjoyed my tour immensely plus it was a moment to see Paris I from a different perspective. Thankyou. Carolyn (Sydney, Australia)
William was just fantastic. I have done many photo walk around training tours and this was one of the best. William took the time to explain to my wife the details of her camera and had her shooting Aperture priority at the end of the session. Not bad for someone who has only shot in P. Our brief to William was to give us pointers on taking more than tourist snap shots. He excelled in this. We walked around Notre Dame and took many different angles. Then to Isle Saint-Louis where we spent the bulk of our time making pictures. We were both very happy with the four hours we spent and William is such an obliging and pleasant person to be around.
