Museum Mile

Museum Mile is what happens when culture becomes a walkable buffet! This brief overview of the mile starts at the anchor of Museum Mile, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, known simply as The MET. After our requisite visit at The MET we will venture by foot at a brisk pace, although not rushing, farther up the mile. There are nine museums on the mile. We will visit at least two museums or more depending on the time and interest of the group.

This is a semi-guided tour means that I will provide general remarks about select exhibits and the museum in general, while offering participants time to take in the exhibit at their own speed. The usual format will begin with a brief introduction, 20 minutes for independent viewing, and another pass through the exhibit for a group Q & A and time for sharing. We will then gather ourselves and venture forth to the next museum.

For all those interested, the tour can end at a local café for coffee/tea and a pastry to celebrate our wonderful excursion and for me to answer any additional questions you might have about NYC museums. It is my favorite sweet ending to a great day on museum mile.
