An adventure for your tastebuds
Hi! I can show you around one of the most popular and well-preserved traditional night market in the city center of Seoul (Gwangjang Sijang). Among everything else, the market that I'll take you is quite well-known for its wide spectrum of street foods, ranging from Bindaeddok, Soondae, Yookhui, Kooksoo to special Kimbob. So if you are keen on experiencing the vibe of traditional-yet-contemporary as well-Asian market and try different kinds of street foods that Seoul locals fall in love with, come and join me!
The tour will usually take place at around 9pm to 11pm, on weekends :)
For: Anyone who is adventurous enough to try out the true local foods! (If you have special dietary requirements or preference, please do tell me in advance and then I'll change the menus of the day accordingly.) Oh, and since this place tends to get very crowded (yes, even more crowded than already-over-populated Seoul city center :)), please be aware of it before you press the 'purchase' button!
3 dishes of foods of any kind that you'd want to try out among the following options :)
Bindaeddok - Signature food
Soondae - Korean style sausage
Yookhui - Raw beef
Kooksoo - warm and thin noodle with fish-based soup
Mini-size Kimbob - Also a Signature food of this market. Wrapped in a seaweed paper with rice and sliced veggies
Reviews
It was a great tour along the street vendors and I felt great to wander along with Minseo. She introducted me to Topoki and Fishsticks as well as deep fried Bibimbap, I must admit the food she originally suggested in the post I did not dare to eat, but after all it was just a suggestion and at least I know what it looks like and what all the dishes are called. Minseo you should offer more tours! Maybe one for street shopping, but I already have been to Nandemun Market.
