Greek Food Tour

Nikita was a wonderful guide, meeting us at The Agora and leading us through the pulsing heart of Athens and the vibrant Central Market. He has a deep well of knowledge both in Ancient Greek history and Greek (particularly Athenian) cuisine. He has a lovely and professional disposition and spent half the day introducing us to various food vendors, butchers, fish mongers, olive oil experts, soap artisans...and of course there was the BEST feta we had on our whole 2 week trip, and the richest, most luscious yogurt I've ever tasted. He then took us down into an incredible, hidden basement taverna... and the rest I'll keep as a surprise. But trust me - it's worth the price and BRING YOUR APPETITE. It was by far the best part of our 2 day Athens trip (and probably the best food we had in our entire Greece tour).

Nikitas took us on a wonderful tour of special places in the city which gave us insight to the history and explained to us traditional Greek cuisine's charm and simple delicious goodness. He has broad knowledge and an infectious appreciation for Athens and Greek food; his anecdotes from his own childhood eating adventures were great fun! I recommend this tour!
