Experience the bustling cultural East End vibe
This is a 2.5-hour tour through the east of the city's vibrant and flourishing Sunday market scene, celebrating the area's rich history and incredible rejuvenation in the past decade or so.
The tour can be tailored to suit specific requests, but begins with an early morning coffee meet-up at Columbia Road Flower Market, a bustling flower and plant street market lined with quaint boutiques selling anything from quirky gifts and jewelry to garden furniture and curios. (Hearing stallholders' bellows about their wares for sale is a non-optional add-on!)
A stroll through the back streets leads to the sprawling Brick Lane market area, an East End institution which makes for fascinating browsing and includes the famous "Little India" of Brick Lane itself. Included in the walk are the interesting artisan boutiques and independent stores which have sprung up in recent years alongside the stalls selling clothing and bric-a-brac.
The walk ends at Spitalfields Market, a charming covered iron and glass market near Liverpool Street Station, which now has as many shops and cafes as it does stalls.
