Our Vayable experience in Paris was very helpful! Anne helped us learn to navigate the metro and train systems, which were initially intimidating. We were first time visitors on our own, and by the end of our orienation with Anne, we were comfortable with moving around the city. The time with Anne was extremely worthwhile - it gave us the confidence to navigate Paris, and because of this, we were able to see several "off-the-beaten-path" sites. I would highly recommend Vayable (and Anne) to future visitors. Joe Bachman
Anne's tour is probably the best thing someone visiting Paris can do. She is full of so many imperative tips that I, as a first-time visitor to Paris, felt comfortable immediately and I left the tour feeling ready to explore. On Christmas eve morning, she kindly met me at my apartment in Montmartre and showed me around the neighborhood. We later went to the Marais and peeked into several shops, the outdoor food market (le marché des enfants rouges) and explored the streets. She showed me several facets of Paris that I wouldn't have known to look for, including really great street art. Anne is super knowledgeable about the city and her tour gives attention to the bigger picture and the hidden gems of Paris. Book this tour! You will be thankful you did! Thanks, Anne!
With first-time-in-Paris family visiting, I took on the responsibility of making them fall in love with my new home. Anne was fantastic in letting me (1) book the experience far in advance and (2) be flexible with what exactly she had in store. When I was running late, she met them at their hotel and brought them to my apartment (a feat in and of itself! I'm the only somewhat French-speaker in my family). Then we wandered through the Marais--crossing through a flea market, stopping in galleries, and popping into a few boutiques along the way. This alone would've been great for them but we also hopped onto a bus towards the Right Bank and saw more than a few quintessentially Parisian sites. She sent us off with recommendations for what ended up being a fantastic crêperie and memories of an adventurous morning. It was everything I hoped it'd be and more. Thank you, Anne for showing my mom and sister the best of Paris (in my opinion) in the rain.
Anne is warm and welcoming from the moment you meet her. Just one of those people you think you're friends with right from the get-go. This makes for a very pleasant, easy-going tour. Anne is flexible, prepared, knowledgeable - and not just about the standard tourist attractions. Her willingness to make your trip the best it can be is obvious and very much appreciated. Thanks so much, Anne!
I booked this tour for the 2nd day of my two week stay and cannot recommend it enough! I really appreciated the opportunity to spend time with such a fun and knowledgable guide, to explore my neighbourhood, understand the metro and receive so many personalised hints and tips of the best places to eat and visit. Thanks Anne! x

I am so glad I booked a walking tour with Anne on our first day of Paris. She gave us a wonderful overview of the layout of the city and most importantly showed us how to use/buy tickets for the Metro. She met us conveniently at the apartment we were staying at and explored our neighborhood of Bastille with us and took us on the metro to the charming neighborhood of Montmartre and took us to many cool look out points where we could see the whole city. Anne was warm, friendly, and super informative. If you have never been to Paris before definitely book her for your first day of exploring. After a tour with her you will be set on where else to go on your trip!
Anne was recommended by a friend in the States as the perfect guide to Paris. What a true statement! She met my husband and I in front of the apartment we rented and took us on a fabulous walk through the 3rd, per our request. She was also helpful in wrangling a few things: a memory card for my camera and reservations at a popular restaurant. Anne loves her life in Paris and it's obvious in her enthusiasm. She had excellent advice about various cool things to do and the best way to do them. I highly recommend her tour for a unique Paris experience.
My wife and I visited Paris last month for our 10th anniversary - our 2nd trip to Paris - and we booked this tour on our 2nd day of the trip as a convenient re-introduction to the city and a guided tour of a few neighborhoods that we had not seen during our previous trip to Paris. Anne, our tour guide, met us at our hotel and took us on a very enjoyable tour of the Latin Quarter and nearby areas, including the Jardin du Luxembourg. She also helped us with practicalities such as how to buy Metro tickets and understand and navigate the Metro and RER maps, and gave us a few great tips about buying crepes from street vendors. She is very knowledgeable, with an obvious love and enthusiasm for all things Paris. I'd recommend this tour to anybody who is visiting Paris and needs a little assistance finding their way around. Anne was smart, informed and great company. She made the most of my few free hours in Paris. Do yourself a favor and see the city with her.
My arrival in Paris was hectic, to say the least. I flew from Bangalore, India to Paris and a woman on the flight had a heart attack. As such, we had a medical emergency stop in Istanbul for 3-4 hours. I rented an apartment in Paris from a gentleman on Airbnb; upon my arrival, the key to the apartment was not there, thus causing greater frustrations. But when I had my tour with Anne that day, all of my troubles subsided as she took me on an amazing tour of Paris. I can honestly say, Anne made my day. It was my first time to Paris, and I knew hardly a thing about the city I found myself in. I booked Anne the day before, and she was right there on time at my apartment the following day. We started out the tour by Anne helping me purchase a book of 10 metro line tickets and a map of the entire city. Next, we laid on the grass near the Eiffel Tower, and she pointed out all of her favorite areas. I didn't want to have a stereotypical tour, thus I requested that she take me near one of her favorite areas, the canal. The entire experience was lovely. I felt completely comfortable with Anne as if running into a long lost friend. I will always remember my first day in Paris with fond memories due to Anne's tour. For anyone who has never been to Paris, or anyone that has been and would like to see a part of town that is off the beaten path, Anne is the person to take you there. You will not regret it.
My fiancé and I took a tour with Anne on August 13th. It was our first day in Paris, and I cannot think of a better way to start off our trip. I had sent Anne my itinerary before we met, and she was so kind as to call some of the places I wanted to visit to see if they were open (it is August and many places in Paris are closed… something we didn’t know too much about). She was extremely helpful at giving us an overview of the city, how to use the metro, where the street signs are, when to cross the street (and how silent the busses can be), and all of the basic information in order to get around the city safely. Not only was she very informative, but also very nice! I found myself just wanting to sit and have tea with her and hear about her life. After our tour was over, she offered to make us dinner reservations and even emailed us later on with more tips and to check in! I was able to contact her a few times with additional questions, which was a life saver! Our trip to Paris would not have been as successful without our tour with Anne. I would absolutely suggest anyone traveling to Paris to tour with Anne. In fact, I wrote her information out to about four American couples we met during our trip and encouraged them to contact her. Her services would make anyone’s Paris trip a more pleasurable experience! Not only that, but her tours are very reasonably priced, and she ended up saving us a lot of money by teaching us the metro system so we didn’t have to take cabs. She is also great with restaurant/shopping recommendations!! Thank you Anne! You really made our trip wonderful!
I tagged along with my husband on a last minute work trip to Paris, with nothing but time to explore the city ALONE. This was very scary and exciting, but I found myself paralyzed with to-see lists and a little fear of going at it by myself (high school french almost totally forgotten). I had been to Paris once before and had seen the main tourist sights (had never been on the metro), but I wanted to dig deeper and really get off the beaten path. I found Anne's blog, Pret a Voyager, via the DesignSponge Paris City Guide. I stubbled across Vayable on her blog my first evening in Paris, and was touring with Anne the next afternoon! She responded to my request immediately the next morning and met me at my hotel across the city (on time). She taught me about the metro, showed me how to buy tickets, took me to all of her favorite design shops, stores for children (I have a 2 year old), markets, parks, and bakeries (I'm still thinking about the chocolate pistachio escargot roll). I felt like I was hanging with a long lost friend all afternoon who helped me make many purchases, taught me a little etiquette and equipped me with the confidence and a new must see list for the rest of the week. In 4 hours, my whole perception changed and I was ready to conquer the city for the rest of the week alone. I continued through the week to go down the list of restaurants and things she suggested I do and had the most wonderful adventures. I felt as if I was the one 'in the know'. Stumbling across Anne on Vayable was so serendipious and I will remember my trip to Paris and my time with her always.
