Take a trip. Change your life.
The Signalila is a dramatic two-week trek through ridges along the border between the old kingdom of Sikkim (now part of India) and the other side Nepal.
It begins from a little lush village of Utare at 1.940 meters high. After three consecutive days of ascend it'll take you up to a cruising altitude of 3,500 meters along the sabre-sharp spine of the Singlia Ridge. For the next eight days it takes you up and down the uninhabited ridges and valleys. All the while on this trek you'll be insight of the third highest peak, Kanchenjunga (8,686m), in front of you. This peak marks the border among Tibet, Nepal, and Sikkim. The trek will reach its climax at mostly frozen lake of Sungmoteng (4,650m) where you can be within 14 km of Kanchenjunga, but it will take you up even higher and closer to the peak, if you have enough stamina. After that it will only take you two days to descend back to the warm lush valley of wild orchids and song birds, where the little village of Yoksam awaits your return to civilization.
