We are taking the local, alternative route to El Yunque Rain forest, considered one of the natural wonders of the world. After soaking in the turtle nesting beach by the Afro-Puerto Rican village which lies at the skirt of the rain forest, we will start our drive up the mountain and into the clouds. We will enter the rainforest, passing through dense shades of green, listening to the enveloping bird calls.

We will take in the lovely panoramic views of the coast from where we came and do some hiking into the depths of the forest, getting to know varying tree and bird species and learning about the soil and the interconnected nature that thrives in the jungle. We will reach a viewpoint high in the mountain from where we can appreciate the scope and size of the virgin rain forest and hopefully spot some birds of prey (like the "Guaraguao"/Red-Tailed Hawk) as the clouds envelop us.

After the hike, we will come back down the rocky, narrow trails enclosed by the jungle and we will reward ourselves with a reinvigorating dip under a heavenly secluded waterfall which is a hidden spot we tend to have to ourselves most of the time. From here, we can continue with a bit of climbing through some rocks which have a rope tied to them for support. This leads us to another, bigger and wilder waterfall where we will be alone and free to enjoy our personal jungle playground. We will feel renewed after the best shower on earth; a mineral rich, refreshing waterfall massage within the heart of the rainforest.
