Explore the rural island of Lantau!
Lantau Island is the largest island in Hong Kong and one of the territory's most beautiful areas. It's a rural and sparsely inhabited island that is home to several remote villages, connected to the rest of Hong Kong by ferries and with each other by a small bus network. Lantau's scenery is striking, a place where giant, forested mountains rise abruptly from the turquoise waters of the South China Sea.
On the tour we will explore some of Lantau's beautiful and charming attractions. We will start by taking the cable car to the Big Buddha Statue at Ngong Ping. Here we will have a vegetarian lunch at the Buddhist Monastery.
After this we will descend to Tai O, a small and historic water village. Many of its buildings are actually built over the water, on stilts!
From Tai O we will take a bus past Cheung Sha, Hong Kong's longest beach, to Mui Wo. Here small bars and restaurants provide entertainment before the ferry back to Hong Kong.
