This 3 Day Expedition will take your from the Los Patos Ranger Station to the Sirena Biological Station where you will overnight for two nights before departing on the La Leona Trail to the small village of Carate to meet your onward transportation.
Trip Details
Three Day Expedition
Day 1: Los Patos - Sirena:
We will begin this moderately difficult trek
between 6 & 7 am and can expect to see a
variety of birds and animals as we hike the
~7 hours to Sirena Station.

Day 2: Sirena Biological Station:
Spend the day exploring the many trails
around Sirena, with early morning and
sunset walks to look for birds and
mammals. In the evening, we explore the
area around the ranger station looking for
nocturnal bugs, bats and other creatures.

Day 3: Sirena - La Leona:
Based on the tides we will make an early
morning departure from Sirena. We can
expect to see a variety of animals and
beautiful beach views along this trail. We
will stop for a river swim at Rio Madrigal
and exit the park at La Leona Station then
make our way to Carate to meet our
transportation back to Puerto Jimenez.
