Montréal Plateau Loop

with Patrice F.

Some of the touristy parts of Montreal are very distinct but do not reflect what Montreal is all about. In Montreal, people of mixed nationalities leave among each other in a chaotic flow of French, English, Spanish, Greek, Hebrew, Chinese to name just a few.

Amazing food and great little place are spread out and I want to show you some of the best places that you could miss out with a Lonely Planet. Throughout the loop, I will tell you more about the history with facts and anecdotes.

We'll meet at the beginning of Rue Saint-Laurent (The Main) and walk north crossing le Plateau Mont-Royal and heading to the Mile End. From Mile End we'll continue North and reach le Plateau-Extension and head East toward Villeray. In Villeray we walk to the South crossing quartier Rosemont and finishing the walk in the heart of le Plateau at the Lafontaine Park.

I am originally from Quebec City and after 10 years living abroad I am back home but this time in Beautiful Montreal. I made a point when I moved here to discover this new city the same way I do when I visit foreign cities. I spend my time at station C co-working, managing web projects, walking or biking around town or at home cooking good dishes. Full profile Leave a Review
