Los Angeles is famous for its freeways and car culture but, once upon a time, L.A. had the best public transportation system in the country. Come experience modern Los Angeles from the ground up on this L.A. Metro Tour!

Let's meet at the historic Union Station in Downtown LA and travel to any number of L.A.'s ethnic enclaves, popular shopping and eating destinations, or world class museums. Whatever you want to see or do, the possibilities are endless!

Tours are customized for your interests or pre-designed. Tell me what you want to see or do, eat or drink, and I'll plan a fun-filled day where you'll never have to sit in L.A. traffic. A pre-designed tour is great if you're interested in learning more about a particular area, or just not sure where to start in this big city.

A Southern California native, I moved to Los Angeles in 2007. In 2008, I started exclusively using public transport around L.A., which has given me an amazing education about this city. The "how do you get around" question pops up quite often and I assure people it IS possible. It takes a little more effort (and patience) but the gems you can find make the effort more than worth it. My extensive personal experience makes me uniquely qualified for this Metro Tour. Not only do I love the Metro system, I love sharing the city! My favorite destinations in L.A. are Griffith Park, the Hollywood Farmers Market, Los Feliz Village, DTLA, and Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu. I'm lucky to live in such a beautiful place and am always excited to share it with others! Full profile

Brenna took me on a wonderful tour of sites in downtown LA, including the Central Library, Bradbury building, Grand Central Market, and more. She gave me lots of great ideas for how to spend my month in LA as a car-free person. She's knowledgeable about the history of LA , and she's very personable and fun! She customized the tour in a way that was perfect for me, since I'm recovering from a broken ankle and need to walk more slowly than usual. You should definitely book a tour with her!

Brenna is LA's best-kept secret. My few hours with her flew by. She is amiable, articulate and a fantastic ambassador for the City of Angels. She showed me how to catch the bus and brought me to her fave food spot (Barney's Beanery). Walked the sights around Hollywood (where I was staying) taking advantage of the beautiful spring weather. Don't hop on those cheesy tour buses - get a grass roots view of life in the big city. Thanks, Brenna!

Brenna, took my USC freshman and me on a tour of Little Tokyo. We did it all walking and most importantly by train. Post our afternoon together I fell very confident my daughter can navigate from place to place all around LA using the Metro. We had a gret time checking out the historic sights and entertainment options all around Little T. She'll take you to any part fothe city that you find of interest. Highly recomended for a great afternoon. M

I had just returned from hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu the day earlier and was physically exhausted, but a few minutes after meeting Brenna, I knew that I would not regret the experience. I have been to L.A. many times, but never took the time to appreciate where I was: The history of Olvera Street, the Bradbury building, and the Grand Central Market just to name a few. Thanks to Brenna and her tour of L.A.-Metro style, I have a greater appreciation of L.A. and maybe one day I'll be confident enough to explore the greater Los Angeles basin on my own.

Brenna was so friendly and knowledgeable! We had a great time walking in the Los Feliz village and trying out French food at Figaro Bistrot. It also opened our eyes to the possibility of using public transportation and avoiding so much traffic from Orange County to Los Angeles. It was like experiencing the city for the first time! I highly recommend taking this tour for anyone planning to visit LA to experience the city from a savvy local's point of view.
