Hollywood East, home of Kaufman Astoria and Silvercup Studios, where past and present artists such as The Marx Brothers, Diana Ross, Woody Allen, and Tobey McGuire have worked, and classic films and TV series such as "Spiderman", "Sesame Street", "The Wiz", and "Duck Soup" have been filmed.
Historic landmarks such as Astoria Pool, the site of the 1936 and 1964 Olympic trials; the home of Steinway grand pianos; Bohemian Hall, one of the oldest beer gardens in NYC; and artifacts from 17th century New York.
Born and raised in the New York City metropolitan area by a French-Canadian mother, and Arabic father, Chris has been raised to embrace diverse cultures and learn as much as possible about them. His knowledge of NYC dates to the 1970's when his family traveled to the Arabic restaurants in downtown Brooklyn or checked the street scenes on MacDougal Street and Washington Square Park in the West Village. From these experiences, Chris developed his love of exploring the ever-changing urban landscape of New York City. Since 1994, he has resided in Astoria, Queens working by day as a secretary and composing music for a variety of venues in Manhattan. He is also a classical pianist and amateur photographer.
