Our most important and most beautiful cemetery is also the biggest open-air statue park of Europe, yet tourists rarely find it.

The greatest Hungarian artists and politicians lie here. By walking through the cemetery with a knowledgeable guide you will learn a lot about Hungarian history in the 19th and 20th century. Amazing sculptures, architecture and nature are all found in this peaceful environment.

We will walk through the cemetery where I will explain all the interesting stories about the place and about the people who lie there. Or maybe I sing. It has happened before (-;

I loved, loved , loved my cemetery tour ! I learned a lot about Budapest history.. . .. and saw many beautiful works of art here . but, why I recommend this..experience .. . is that . it is a mystical way to learn about a city.. a different perspective .but . not a creepy one at all.. . This is one tour that be "engraved " in your mind .. .( forgive the pun).. Judit was a delight....and also went out of her way to help me learn to navigate around beautiful Budapest .

The cemetery is very interesting and is like walking through history. The monuments and statues are varied and beautiful - all the more atmospheric on a rainy February day. We also booked the design tour afterwards, so Judit took us to a fantastic little restaurant near Keleti train station for some lunch and helped us buy our train tickets to Vienna. Thanks for a great day Judit!

Judit took us around on our first day in Budapest and it was a great introduction to the history of Hungary. She was also very helpful in giving us tips for the city, especially when it comes to food! Highly rated and definitely worth your time!
