Yanguan, an ancient town, is famous for its Qiangtang River tidal bore that can reach a height of 29 feet and 25 mi/hr. Until recently, no one attempting to surf it has managed to remain upright for more than 11 seconds. You can watch the tidal bore from afar or up close, depending on how much you want your blood pumping. We will them go into a town with a history of sericulture and filature so that you can see how sericultural farmers raise silk worms and make them into beautiful clothing.
