If you want to see a bunch of New York neighborhoods in a day, this is the tour for you. Andrew has a wealth of knowledge about the history of New York City, especially about the movement of people through the city that has made Manhattan what it is today. He's a PhD student at CUNY and a New York native (grew up in the Bronx and now lives in Queens). He does a great job tailoring the tour to your interests, so he'll definitely be able to give you the perspectives, information, and history that are most interesting to you. Your New York.
This tour is so much more than a one-day introduction to New York! I joined the tour halfway through, where we went to the Lower East Side, Chinatown, and Little Italy. Andrew has a deep knowledge about the history (especially regarding movement of people) that shapes New York to be the way it is today. He was also able to tell us which places are tourist traps and which places have interesting (sometimes weird) things to see! We were also able to share stories and talk about life in New York over dim sum at an awesome tea place!
