Our small group of creative professionals, living and working in Williamsburg, have insider knowledge of this ever-changing neighborhood.
I am a writer, editor, producer, and curator. I get shit done. Currently I am working to develop educational initiatives at Brooklyn’s coworking space The Yard. And I am a staff writer at The Williamsburg/Greenpoint News + Arts – a free, monthly newspaper. I was the founder and editor-in-chief of Brooklyn’s artist profile publication Chief Magazine from 2006 to 2009. In 2006, I worked as contributing editor of Colors magazine and Benetton Talk in Treviso, Italy. I wrote a book entitled Welcome to the Land of Cannibalistic Horses, illustrated and designed by Mike Force. It is 556 pages of essays and interviews about America during the summer of 2004. Before that I worked as co-producer and on-camera correspondent for the PBS documentary TV series Roadtrip Nation. I live in Brooklyn, USA, with strong ties to Los Angeles, Seattle, and New Orleans. I have a BFA in Writing from Pratt Institute and a MS in Publishing from New York University. http://apsmith.net Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
