Enjoy the tranquility and comparative coolness of the Menara gardens that make it one of the most pleasant and romantic places for taking a stroll in Marrakech.
Planted with olive-trees, some of which are more than 100 years old, the charm of the Menara garden lies in its central part. Its large central lake was dug in the 12th century at the time of Almohade. On one side, there is a harmonious Saadian style pavilion that was built at the end of the 19th century.
Continue to visit the Majorelle Gardens, Created in the 1920's by the French painter Jacques Majorelle. Built around a small Art Deco workshop and painted a bright blue. Marjorelle is a very unique and special blue and is now a trademark name. It also contains a memorial to the Algerian born French designer Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, also known as Yves Saint Laurent. He often visited the gardens to find influence and refuge, following his requests he was cremated and had his ashes scattered there.
