This adventure circumnavigates the West Maui Volcano, in it's entirety! Explore West Maui counter-clockwise from Kahului to Lahaina. This adventure begins with walk on the spiritual side of Hawaii and a beautiful ancient healing heiau (hawaiian temple). You will learn about the ancient Kapu system and the Heiaus that were built to honor the Hawaiian gods. Following this stop, we will enter a rain forest and hike through streams, bamboo forests, wild yellow ginger and shampoo ginger groves (season-dependent), repel down a banyan tree and sit above cascading waterfalls after taking a dip under some of the best natural showers in secluded West Maui. After hiking you will drive through a beautiful Hawaiian village, one of the last truly hawaiian spots, enjoy a look through a local artist gallery and have lunch beside the most exhilarating ocean tide pool spots. If you've still got room for more adventure your day ends with a leisurely snorkel through a marine conservation area.
