Let the Art Monks guide you.
The Art Monastery Project is a group of international adventurers (mostly English-speakers) who live, work, and make art in an ex-Franciscan monastery that also operates as a hotel in Labro, 70 miles north of Rome.
On this trip, Artmonks who've lived and breathed small-town Italian life will be your tour guides, helping craft a personalized experience according to your interests. Possibilities include:
Living, eating, meditating and/or making art with the Artmonks; hikes up the hills, down to the lake, or along the ancient pilgrimage route of St. Francis; paddle-boating on Lake Piediluco; five-star dining at the restaurant in the monastery or the wine bar/gastronomie in town; master classes with Artmonks in singing, guitar, dance, painting, or other art forms; master classes with Artmonk friends in physical theater or comedia dell'arte; architecutre/history tours of the beautifully restored medieval towns in the area; meals and events with locals; and much, much more.
If you come to Labro, you'll see a part of Italy that most tourists never have access to. And with us as your guides, you'll see a part of small-town Italian culture that only long-term expats living side-by-side, day-by-day, have the privilege to see.
The price includes one night in the hotel, one meal at the hotel restaurant, and one day of guiding your tour for one person. Discounts available for multiple days or big groups.
