You’ll trek to villages surrounded by cliffs which are known as ‘the death at the balconies’, where wooden coffins are suspended over the cliffs using ropes and poles. Day 1 - Arrive Yogyakarta
Day 2 - Visit Prambanan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Day 3 - Travel to Borobadur, the largest hindu temple in the world
Day 4 - Travel by train to Eastern Java, and then have a short climb to the top of an active volcano.
Day 5 - An amazing sunrise from the top of Mt Bromo, overlooking the lunar like landscape below, before enjoying a horseback ride around the crater rim of the volcano.
Day 6 - Fly to Sulawesi and learn about the indigenous people's culture.
Day 7 - Visit Toraja and the cliffs which are known as ‘the death at the balconies’. Graves cover the cliffs, along with hanging effigies of deceased nobility.
Day 8 - We go north today, trekking through different Toraja villages.
Day 9 - Travel to the island paradise of Bali.
Day 10 - A full day of leisure on the stunning beaches of Bali.
Day 11 - Visit Mt Batur, passing lush rice paddies and rainforests.
