We have inner city lakes, a river and a buzzing harbour to get your sea legs trained. We have two coasts nearby - the North Sea (1.5 hour drive) and the Baltic Sea (1 hour drive). We have historical buildings, many stories from the past and present as well as storytellers of all ages and in all colours of the rainbow. The inhabitants of Hamburg (the Hamburgers) are a friendly breed of cosmopolitan people, enjoying the many green areas in and around Hamburg. Whether you travel alone or with your family, we have a lot of gems to offer - to you and to your soul. A city for all seasons, ice-skating on the inner-city lake in winter, BBQ on the beach in summer and many small and big adventures inbetween.

Take a trip on the underground train that also goes overground. Book a boat trip on the Aussenalster and maybe see a happy couple that just got married on such a trip. Count the steps in the tower of St. Michael's church or when you go down into the 'Alte Elbtunnel'. Take a walk around the inner lake and meet some celebrities while you enjoy a coffee or an ice cream.
