Look beyond the tourist traps and dive into the local haunts: explore the flavors of The Mission District with a third-generation San Francisco local.

First we will meet Chef Manny Torres at Mr. Pollo for an appetizer. Chef Manny uses organic ingredients and his creativity for offer a unique fine dining experience where he offers a four course tasting menu that changes throughout the day. Then we will check out Papalote, a taqueria known for its signature salsa and for beating Iron Chef Bobby Flay in a burrito throw down.

Next on our tasting list will be the worker-owned cooperative Arizmendi Bakery and Pizzeria. After we enjoy a slice of the day or pastry we will head down 24th to Vallarta where they have the best taco's in the city. Choose from over ten different proteins for your taco. Following this I will show you Balmy Alley where dozens of artists put together the Balmy Alley Mural Project. For dessert you will thank me for showing you Humphrey Slocombe, an organic creamery with amazing, unique flavors like Secret Breakfast, Government Cheese and Guinness Gingerbread!

We'll swing by a surprise local watering hole as well to wet our palettes.
