Crabbing and Hidden Beaches Oregon Coast

I will take you crabbing on the Oregon Coast near Reedsport and teach you how to catch crab, cook crab, and then we will eat crab. The Oregon Coast is famous for Dungeness Crab but not everyone knows how to catch them. I will also show you my favorite beaches and if time permits take you to the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area. This trip is limited to 3 people if I am providing transport - if you have your own transport, we can go up to 20 people.

Cost includes crab trap rental, 3 day license, and instruction. If the weather permits we can cook the crab on the beach, otherwise we can visit a local seafood market that will cook them for us for a nominal fee and include the fixings.

Ordering a fresh dungeness crab usually costs approximately $24-$36 depending on market conditions. A 3 day out of state crabbing license is $17. Crab trap rental runs anywhere from $10-$15 per day per trap. Crab bait can run anywhere from $3-$10. This leaves the cost of this experience at a very reasonable rate.
