Moab, Utah: for rock climbers, yogis, adventure-lovers, mountain bikers, hikers, trial runners, and sunset chasers, just hearing someone say “Moab” is reason enough to pack up a bag and head out to that special, quiet desert. Join YOGASCAPES and for the adventure of a lifetime.

You will wake up every morning to cool desert air, a bright red sunrise, and an energizing yoga practice to get your body ready for the day ahead. Your days will be filled with rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and other optional activities like bouldering, trail running and rafting. After a full day of adventuring around the land and within yourself, you will return to our river-side camp site for a gourmet dinner, relaxing sunset yoga practice, and lots of laughing around the campfire.

For five days, we will live in the wild. Let’s get far away from technology and really close to the earth and ourselves. Get ready for a trip all about discovery of your personal strength, bravery, and inner badass.

THIS TRIP IS IDEAL FOR

This is a trip for all experience levels! Whether you’re a beginner mountain biker or an experienced rock climber, you are in invited to join our little family of yogis and adventurers in Moab. Don’t be shy!

WHAT TO EXPECT
This isn't your typical yoga retreat. Moab is desert. It's dry, it's hot, it's harsh, it's incredibly beautiful. You will get dirty! (maybe dirtier than you've been in a long time.) Our site doesn't have any showers (no sites do), so we've planned an excursion to a swimming hole midway through. For those of you that want to shower during the trip, there is a public swimming pool that offers cheap facility passes.

SHANNAN HANSEN
Shannan Hansen (RYT500) loves to work with people who are new to yoga or who are exploring using yogic principles in their everyday lives. She believes that yoga should be accessible to everyone and gives students space to discover their abilities and boundaries through alignment based classes that are challenging, fun, but ultimately restorative. Teaching yoga on the Moab Retreat gives Shannan the opportunity to fuse her passion for yoga and the outdoors. You can surely expect to connect with and find reverence for nature in her classes in the red rock! As a Certified Yoga Therapist, Shannan works with clients across a broad range of challenges, including weight loss, structural injuries, grief, anxiety/depression, chronic pain, and heart disease. She teaches yoga in Salt Lake City, Utah and enjoys rock climbing, skiing, swimming, and biking. You can find her online at www.mindandbodyyogatherapy.com.
