Calling all foodies!

Luckily, Istanbul caters to foodies like you and me. We'll start our day right with a breakfast of Menemen (breakfast skillet), vegetarian and meat lover friendly. Lunch at the waterfront, for some fresh grilled fish sandwiches called Balik Ekmek. We'll ferry to Kadikoy for some pudding, fortune telling Turkish coffee and robust Turkish tea. After we take in some of the sites we'll try head to the backstreets of Besiktas for some distinct Turkish fare, such as Midye Dolmasi (mussel shells stuffed with mussel and couscous) or Dondurma (stretchy ice cream made of sheep's milk). And of course, to end our food tour feast, we'll bask in Turkish pub culture and try out local beer and Raki, the strong licorice flavored liqueur the Turkish are proud to call their own.
