Beginning at Santa Sofia (near Ca' D'Oro) we will hop across the Canal Grande on a Traghetto, which in Italian means 'Ferry' to the Pescaria, the Rialto Fish Market, arriving in style. On arrival we will have an opportunity to experience and explore the fish market, finishing with a taste of what they have on offer. We will then continue through the vegetable market and discuss the local food and produce of the area, finishing up in a local bacari to sample the Venetian classics like Baccalà Mantecato, Sarde In Sour & fried fresh fish accompanied by a glass of prosecco of course. What a perfect way to start your visit in Venice.
