My son (14) and I had a great morning birding with Alyssa in Lima. She was very prompt, friendly, spoke excellent English and was knowledgeable about her local patch. Well worthwhile having her to show us where to go and also her family's private reserve.

A great trip to the family's land next to the official nature reserve, and the Reserve itself, so wetland and coastal habitats. Then back to the Olives park in downtown. Alyssa is a knowledgeable and helpful guide, patient to let you look for what you want, and it's a great venue within easy reach of downtown. I (as an amateur) managed to spot 50 species in the day. Well worth it if you have a spare weekend day in Lima.
