My name is Izzy and I am a third generation Tampanian. That is a rare thing considering the majority of our residence are transplants who moved here for a job, our warm tropical climate, or perhaps a little of both. It is also the reason I think most people don't know a lot about my city.

The biggest misconception people have about Tampa is that is a bland city with no history or culture. Nothing could be further from the truth and I hope to dispel this notion by showing off everything Tampa has. From its history with the mafia, to political connections, from our native food (The world famous Cuban Sandwich) to our nickname (The Cigar City), Tampa is full of culture.

Let me show you what it looks like from a locals point of view. There is no way to get to know a city better than by experiencing it as its citizens do!
