I'm a journalist. I write and talk for money. I edit a travel magazine, and I know London like the back of either of my hands. I've eaten my way across most of the city, and know the hottest new places, the best chefs, and the tastiest dishes in every neighbourhood. If you're lucky, I might even tell you about London's best off-menu items...live like a Londoner!

This is easily one of the highlights of my trip to New York. Jeff is an amazing guide who loves this Queens neighbourhood, and on a snowy February night, he took me into an NY culture I would never have found on my own. It's a neighbourhood of immigrant Mexicans and Ecuadorians with a seemingly limitless collection of street food trucks and carts on every street corner. On our two-hour walk, Jeff told me about the recent history of this fascinating Central/South American ghetto – plus some of the trouble they've been having with street-food culture and the law. I can't express how different this tour is to anything you'll see or do in New York. Jeff is the right man to show you these streets. Just go. You won't regret it.

It was so much fun taking Chana on the London market breakfast tour. It was Chana's first time in London, and she has already seen a lot of the 'real' bits of the city (Hackney, Brixton etc), so I knew the bar was set high. On a rainy Saturday morning, we had the market to ourselves, and had some amazing food and a lot of fun. Chana, I hope you have a fantastic time during the rest of your stay in London, and hope to see you again soon.

It was great taking Anthony on the tour – it was his first time in London, and he loved the places we went to (phew!). Anthony – it's fantastic that you're totally into the Vayable concept...do some more tours in London, you won't regret it. And when you're back in Sydney, sign up and start some tours of your own, you'd be a great guide!

What is there to say? Kate is just a wonderful traveller and a fascinating person. She's eager to learn about the city through a local's eyes - and by showing her my city, I find myself learning about it in the process. Kate is also working on a really interesting project, TravelWithKate.com, where she posts videos of her trips. I took Kate on two tours, and I can't wait for her to come back to London so I can show her more of this amazing city. Kate - you're welcome back anytime.
