Co-founder at Paladar y tomar, Andalucia wine and culinary travel design and wine agitator. Born in Barcelona, journalist and marketing expert, I have inherited passion for cooking from my grandmother, a former Basque top chef. A postgraduate in Hospitality Management in Switzerland in 2004 encouraged me to create Xtrême & Trends, a custom private concierge service boutique firm in Barcelona. Then I entered the heavy industry business as marcom manager at a multinational, where I stayed nine years. Now I am back to my origins. Fours years ago I started editing the wine blog Paladar y tomar and now I am going a step further offering my services in Andalusia specialized in tailored gourmet local experiences far from clichés and prejudices.
Two are my specialities. I love teaching cooking with my mix inspiration from North to South Spanish recipes, in small groups, and admire the natural interaction it generates. I like making people feel happy. When it comes to a full foodie week, the experience is gorgeous! And secondly, I open the doors to some of the most amazing but private (and closed to the public) wineries. My long lasting relationships with winemakers gives me (you) access to them. We can organize private wine tastings, introduction to sherry wines, pairing menus, tapas & wine tours... And for those having time, we can escape inland and visit organic olive oil mills and artisan cheese producers... You define the limits.
And I keep learning every day and traveling the world in search of new wine adventures because I found in wine the opportunity to discover the authenticity of the society. Wine is all about being curious in all aspects, from agriculture to chemistry, architecture and poetry. Eating and drinking is much more than a physiological need; it is social interaction, communication, local economy and identity expression.
