Found this tour (and website) while looking for a fun activity for some friends who were in town visiting. This was definitely a unique experience! I now consider the downtown/old NYC area one of the most interesting areas in Manhattan - and I didn't realize that until going through this tour! I would certainly recommend this for history buffs and those who want something more than the traditional "NYC highlights that we already know" bus tour.
Not only is Michael a true historian and wealth of knowledge, but he was very attentive and engaging before and during the tour - responding promptly to my requests for information and confirming plans the day of. We even enjoyed some food and drinks at a great little dive bar to wrap up the activity!
