My wife, young daughter (8 years old), and I had the opportunity to meet Luis and take this tour during the Christmas holiday -- we were not disappointed! Luis was very responsive in working with us to come up with a plan that combined the most unique aspects of his itinerary with the challenging logistics of travelling with a young child. After surviving the hoards of tourists at Sugarloaf and Corcovado the day before, it was amazing to take a hike, with an even more amazing view, without another tourist in site! In addition, our walk through Vidigal showed us some of the interesting dynamics of this changing favela while opening our eyes to a colorful, different part of Rio that we would never have explored without this tour. This is a great tour for active, open-minded travellers (which is why you use Vayable in the first place!) -- the hike is challenging but the pace is comfortable, and Luis did an excellent job of ensuring everything went smoothly. He was responsive to our email questions, kept us on track, and was an expert at finding ice cream at just the right time to keep our daughter's battery charged! We had a great time, and we look forward to taking other tours with him on our next trip to Rio. A big, positive recommendation!
