Boston's neighbors to the west are home to historic universities, cutting edge science research, grungy specialty coffee shops, and some really excellent eats. If you're looking for a slice of life/off the beaten path experience, here's your chance. Join me for a customized experience of Cambridge and/or Somerville, and get off the Freedom Trail. Note: this is not a Harvard tour, though I am a Harvard student and would happy to *include* parts of campus in the tour.
Up to you! This is a totally customizable experience, based on your interest and my expertise.
I'm a Berkeley transplant to Cambridge, and have lived here for 12 years now. I have a Master's in Urban Planning and am now a PhD student. After having lived and worked in many Boston neighborhoods -- Roxbury, the South End, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, the North End, and several parts of Cambridge and Somerville -- I'm feeling a bit like a local. All of my research for school so far has been in Boston, and I love to share my knowledge about history, politics, the arts and, of course, food, with visitors. In my free time you can find me running food and wine events around town, and writing or podcasting on my blog cultivatingplaces.com. Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
