Amazing Wilderness Fly Fishing!

Hi my name is Matt, I would like to introduce you to some of the best Rainbow and Brown trout fishing the world has to offer in some of the most majestic scenery New Zealand has on display

I have been Fly Fishing NZ's best rivers for over 10 years and am experienced in the back country fisheries which can offer some of the most satisfying wilderness fishing you would ever experience.

I will supply everything you need for fishing from the rod to flies and even your own personal fish spotter(me). All you need to bring is suitable trekking clothes/shoes (no waders required, water is generally warm and shallow)

Depending on conditions and time of year I will take you to some of the unknown backcountry gems where it would be a miracle to see another angler during the trek up the river.

This experience can cater to any age, fitness and skill level, ranging from a day trip up an easy accessed wild trout river or a multi-day trek into some of the most remote and mind-blowing areas NZ has to offer with the option of overnight trips to reach the best an biggest fish, staying in our well maintained backcountry huts.

We will be departing from either Wanaka or Queenstown where you will be picked in a 4wd truck, we will then head to a local river that may require some four wheel driving fun. Next I will set you up with all the gear you need, including arranging your rod and flies for the day. We then take off on foot up the river, fishing upstream as we go At the end of the day we either setup in a hut for the night or retrace our steps and head back to the car, dropping you off later that evening.
