Itinerary

Meet under the banyan tree, between the King Kamehameha Hotel's ABC Store and the Kona Pier. Learn as we explore the tropical beauty of this ancient Hawaiian fishing village. The tour ends at a Kona coffee shop across the street from the original meeting place, so explorers can leisurely review and share their newly acquired photo skills with each other after the tour has ended.

This is a very good way to see some of downtown Kona's hidden treasures. Merrilee takes you on a walking tour and shows you sites that the average tourist would probably miss. She is a very knowledgeable photographer and helps you choose the perfect setting as well as gives advice on how to best use your camera. I have had my camera for years and I just learned how to really use it thanks to Merrilee. The tour does not last too long so is a plus for those who have limited time visiting the Big Island. Thank you Merrilee for an enjoyable experience, I hope to see you on my next visit to your beautiful island. Carol

Merrilee was very knowledgeable about photography and gave us many easy to use and easy to remember tips for taking photos in different situations, different lighting and different subjects. The area we walked in was very beautiful, lively and filled with colors, action and the unique tropical beauty of Kona town. All in all, this is a lovely way to see and experience some very special spots in Kona and to learn some camera skills that will be useful for years to come. Thank you Merrilee!
