Get a buzz in Music City by visiting Nashville's three best dive bars! These are the bars with the most local flavor and character in town. I will show you the heart and soul of this southern, drinking city.

Itinerary

We'll meet at East Nashville's oldest bar. Said to have some of the city's best burgers, you can drink PBR while you chow down. Then, I will be the driver to take you to a pub where it is Christmas everyday! This pub is as dark and dank as they come, but in a good way! The bartender will tell you all the stories you could ask for!
Finally, we'll go to a garage rock haven in West Nashville. You'll catch some tunes and drink cheap beer!

I had a great time on Ryan's tour - we had a bit of a mess up with meeting (my problem in not having a US cell and getting delayed arriving), but he took me to several amazing bars, where either the manager or the clientele were incredibly entertaining. I saw guns, Christmas trees (a bizarre sight in March), an all-Japanese country band, and met a man claiming to be Kanye West's mixer who then started crooning me country songs. It was St Patrick's Day, and even after the tour had officially ended, Ryan took me into town to show me the honky tonks in full flow. Even if none of that had happened, I'm sure I would have enjoyed it as Ryan's a great guy. An amazing introduction to Nashville, the variety of life here and a chance to see parts of the city you otherwise wouldn't. Recommend it to everyone...

Let me confirm that when Ryan promises dives, he really means dives. And this, of course, guarantees a wonderful evening full of the unexpected. These bars are rock 'n' roll in the truest sense: barmen with stories you'll hardly believe, Nashville's finest (and least finest) voices on the karaoke, cheap-as-chips beers, smoke-filled rooms (hey, it adds to the atmosphere), classic bar burgers even the East Nashville hipsters haven't yet discovered, and the chance to spend an evening talking to one of the nicest and most interesting people you'll meet in America's friendliest and most interesting city. Book it!

Ryan R.'s Other Experiences

  • Bring your bike and padded seat. We'll see some of the biggest stars in country music homes, great windy roads on the Natchez trace, a few alleys and true spit and sawdust saloons for a cold beer or two. Why sit on a tour bus? Rev'em up and lets ride to the Ryman..the mother church of country music.
