Details

I am an expat in Vernazza, Cinque Terre who came here for the culture and life style. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of meeting most of the people in the village. I've explored the local areas for where the locals go when they want to get away. I love talking to people and helping them to enjoy their experience here This tour offers an insider's look of the village, what to eat, free wine tastings, a drive in the hills above for a flat walk to see amazing views of the coast (as shown in our photos) and a fantastic lunch or dinner at an Agriturismo you can only reach by car (if you know where it is!).

Itinerary

Don't miss a thing while you are staying or visiting Vernazza, Cinque Terre. We'll first walk through the historical village (you set the pace). During our stoll, you can visit with locals while sipping coffee, an espresso, or wine. See the views without hiking! I will drive you and your party to an area above my village. It has the best views of the hidden fountains, coastlines and terraces. See what the hikers see! We can walk the first 15 minutes of the upper trail to Montorosso (flat part) for great photos. Then lunch or dinner at a local agriturismo! (30 Euro per person additional) Need rooms? Just ask!

Jodi was amazing! She gave us perfect directions to park our car and we met her in the village and began our tour. Everywhere we went Jodi knew EVERYTHING about the shop, restaurant, trail, history, or beautiful view we saw and EVERYONE knows her. She took us to an amazing place for lunch and even ordered for us – we tried all sorts of dishes – some of which weren’t even on the menu. All delicious!! One of the fishermen at the port stopped to talk to Jodi and showed us his boat and lines and talked to us about his catch. In the afternoon we drove up the mountain and saw spots that only locals ever go to – gorgeous views with not a person in sight! We even got to hike way up on top of the mountain for spectacular views of the coastline – with no huffing and puffing to get there! Jodi knew all about the Cinque Terra wines and the co-op of growers. She even taught us about the secret local wine called Sciacchetra (pronounced sha-ka-tra) and got one of the locals to let us taste his stuff. What a perfect day full of adventures we never would have had without Jodi!
