My favorite thing about Jerusalem is people's reactions to the city. I've guided everyone from students to the minister of Haiti!”

Details

We'll start at the Mount of Olives with a breathtaking view of Jerusalem's Old City and site to one of the Holy Land's earliest churches. From there we will trace Jesus' footsteps into Jerusalem, stopping at the Garden of Gethsemane where he prayed before his arrest and execution. Inside the Old City we will see the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus cured a paralyzed man and then continue along the Via Dolorosa stopping at the stations of the cross. After a short lunch break we will enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the traditional site of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. This will be followed by a walk along the rooftops of Jerusalem's Christian Quarter and down to the Small Wall, a small, little known section of the Western Wall. From there we will proceed to the Jewish Quarter for an overview of the Temple Mount where Herod's Temple stood and the Western Wall, the last remaining section of that Temple concluding at the Room of the Last Supper and tomb of King David.
