It has happened to me before. I was visiting a great city and eager to go for a ride. I rented an amazing demo bike, but unsure where to go or the best route to take, ended up lost and somehow on the wrong side of a freeway. Not fun.
If you want a guided ride through some of the beautiful neighborhoods that make up Los Angeles, from the gorgeous homes of Beverly Hills, to the California coastline, then come take a ride with me. We could even stop for some of the best ice cream in LA, if you're into that sort of thing...after all, you did just burn a bunch of calories.
Please note: This ride is not for beginners.
The 50 mile ride begins at the entrance to Beverly Hills, out and up the coastal PCH to Malibu, and back.
Mostly flat smooth roads, with a couple of short climbs.
I am a writer/producer living in Los Angeles. I have a passion for photography, food, and a healthy enjoyment for road biking. I am not, nor have I ever trained or competed professionally. I do, on occasion, ride in fundraising events for causes like Challenged Athletes Foundation. LA can be a great biking town if you know the right roads and keep your wits about you.
