Explore Turda Salt Mine& Rimetea Village

Turda Salt Mine, one of the most important salt mines in Transylvania, is today genuine history museum of Salt exploitation. The excellent condition of the mining compartments and the equipment used for salt transportation, as well as the care with which the mine was prepared for touristic use, have turned it into a place of mingled history and legend.
Approximate 30 km away, is Rimetea village that has a history of over 1000 year, here we will stop for a great Hungarian lunch.Is Located in front of an 1129 m high rocky mountain, Remetea is an old Hungarian village built by German miners who were brought here for extracting iron.They built the remarkable houses in the village that have a unique architecture, and are now part of European heritage.Traditional costumes and mining hand-tools can still be seen on display in the village museum.After visiting the Village Museum, we will go for a stroll in the village and do some handicrafts shopping.
