What Shaheen_&_Jennie loves
Food
Shaheen’s got quite the unconventional food background. After majoring in Marketing and working in an IT company where she brought brownies to office, she figured she’d rather be doing more of that than sitting at a desk. She moved on to work at a French style pâtisserie in Bombay, India for six months, after which she ran a successful dessert delivery business that got hugely popular in a short span of time. It won accolades in Vogue, TimeOut, Times of India and various other publications. She worked as the consulting food editor for BBC Good Food Magazine in India and authored the cover story, for the launch issue before she moved to Paris. She has been awarded the James Beard Scholarship to study Pâtisserie at Le Cordon Bleu, London and The Culinary Trust Scholarship to study Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris. She blogs about her bakes, travels and food adventures on PurpleFoodie.com and visits the back of boulangeries and eats chocolate in the name of research.
Reviews for Shaheen & Jennie
My fiancee and I enjoyed meeting with Shaheen and Jennie and learning more about Paris and cooking. Shaheen and Jennie are both expats to Paris so they're great at recommending cool out of the way things that tourists would enjoy.
They're also great chefs and the food was excellent.
Shaheen and Jenni cooked us a delicious meal: salad, main course, and dessert. Everything was very tasty, and we had big portions of each course - so arrive hungry! We really enjoyed meeting Shaheen and Jenni. They were really friendly, had fun tips about Paris, and made us feel at home. Thanks for the great food!
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience dining in Jenni's attic apartment. Shaheen and Jenni made excellent hosts and their advice on where to eat and shop in Paris was spot on. Shaheen's chocolate cake was memorably delicious and for a dinner with a difference you should try this. No rush and charming and enthusiastic hosts unlike in many Parisian restaurants.
