Just in case you have never heard of or been to Dogpatch in San Francisco, we will offer you the chance to be an urban social pioneers. Join us as we explore the contemporary far reaches of the city. Again art will be the prism through which we see, learn, and feel the soul of this amazing city. Once a quiet industrial area south of the downtown with remote artists studios and workshops, it has evolved into an urban attraction for those attuned to contemporary urbanism. Its current change follows the underground patterns in most cities where artists lead the neighborhood vitalization and are then followed by bars, restaurants, quirky and avant-garde retailers, galleries, and in this case the presence of a contemporary museum. A compact topography and geography makes walking an easy experience. The dining scene here features restaurants with interesting menus and specialty food venues, such as: amazing ice cream, outstanding cheeses, and a French butcher shop. Coffee shops double as galleries and a significant city art luminary works nearby. In this setting, we will get to do it all: beginning at the museum, then moving on to some artists galleries, workshops, collaboratives, and visit the graduate school of San Francisco Art Institute. Based on the day of the week we do our tour, wine tasting may be an option. You will be also be able to seek out our suggested restaurants for pizza and southern fried chicken.
