Charlotte is in the center of the bible belt, churches play an important role in daily life and family values. From traditional Southern Baptist churches to progressive non-denominational congregations. The Charlotte area is the home of the world renowned evangelist Billy Graham, the Billy Graham Library, the late televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, the PTL Club and Heritage USA. The Charlotte area is the home of many theological and ministerial schools and has one of the highest number of churches per capita in the U.S.
Mike will discuss the history, heritage of notable churches in the area. Some of the buildings date back to 19th century and are quite beautiful. You will even get to meet the pastors and get their perspective on worship and tradition.
