Work for Accommodation on a Farm

Xiyuan Organic Farm is located in Chongming Island, about 1 hr's drive from Shanghai. Laojia and his wife founded this farm community when retreated from the noisy city life. Pursuing for the hamonious community and their "sustainable natural farming method", the farm has opened to university students as well as people who are curious about the country life.
There are lots of farm work and activities all year around.
Come to the community, live & work with Laojia & other honest farmers. You may learn how to plant different kinds of vegetables, help with the harvest, make rice wine, vinegar, soy sauce etc.
Also you may come across them making bean curd and noodles if lucky.
