Do you want to taste a real high-quality food and wine in Rome escaping from the crowds of the city centre? And maybe you don't want to spend a lot of money, but you think it's impossible to have tasty, local food and wonderful wine for a good price...
Well, in Italy, especially in Rome, this is possible if you are with a local. I'd like to propose you an alternative food and wine tour of the district where I live, Monteverde (literally "Green Mountain"), where you can decide to try an aperitif followed by a delicious pizza and an home made ice-cream, or, if you, for example, don't like pizza (really?!) or you simply prefer something else you can have a typical Roman dinner in a traditional "Osteria".
I've personally tried all the places that I'd like you to know, and I'm sure you will really love them as well.
Monteverde is a beautiful district located a few steps away from Trastevere. It's well connected by tram number 8, that goes from Largo Argentina (near by Piazza Navona and Campo de' Fiori) to Casaletto, the last stop of Monteverde district.
The tour will start in the evening, around 7.00 pm, and I will guide you through original places that only offer local products.
Please notice that this is not an all-included tour, because I want people to feel comfortable and to be free to order what they want, so what to eat, drink and how much is totally up to you, you have no limits!
Just to have an idea, consider that a simple aperitif costs from 7 to 10 euros for person (including one drink), a dinner costs 25 euros for person (drinks are not included in this price) and the pizza 10 euros.
The price for the ice-cream starts from 1,50/2,00 euros.
